Cory ran his first marathon in 2006 as a way to lose weight, underprepared with zero training but he crossed the finish line, got the bug and never looked back. Since then Cory has completed races all over the world from time trials in Shanghai, to running as part of a relay team from LA to Vegas and supporting a group of girls in Ethiopia who ran from the Bale mountains down to Bekoji.
Now one of Nike running’s head coaches, Cory’s “honeyed tones” (The Guardian) featured in the Nike running app, have his voice recognised all over the world.
Cory will be delivering a talk "From Couch to Coach : How Running Changed My Life" as well as a 'Vibercise' class
I trained and worked professionally as a dancer/actress before realising my true passion lies in teaching rather than performing. It’s through passing on my knowledge and experience that I feel most proud! I love being able to inspire and encourage others to enjoy exercise; whether that’s in my dance or fitness classes. To impact the lives of so many people in a positive and fun way is a gift that most people don’t get to experience in their jobs!
By day, she is yoga instructor, and by night she loves to spend her time upside down! Yoga and aerial arts and just a few of Yasmin’s favourite things. Believe it or not, she comes from a circus family – So it seems her passion to be upside down is in the blood!
Yasmin has taught yoga classes and aerial yoga classes to a mix of ages, including aerial yoga to children with disabilities, offering that freedom that can not be reached in everyday life. Specialising in Aerial Yoga and Family Acro Yoga, Yasmin aims to deliver sessions which empowers students, whilst nurturing mind and body with fun fitness sessions.
Leah Maclean runs Fitness At The Farm where she takes a health first approach to fitness. Leah’s aim is to help people develop healthy attitudes towards nutrition and physical activity; to find happiness with their bodies at any size; to get outside more and just feel good.
