We recently spoke to the inspirational team at Oxford Martial Arts Academy (OMAA), the largest Martial Arts Academy in Oxfordshire. They specialise in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai. The fantastic academy has been well-established for over a decade producing National and International Champions in various disciplines.

Anyone is welcome to train with the academy. They explained, “We cater for all levels and abilities. This coaching team includes Muay Thai Head Coach, Dean James (four times World Champion, two times European Champion, two times Commonwealth Champion, British Title Holder, and Technical Fighter of the Year award-winner); Boxing Head Coach, Denis Hysenbelli (European Bronze Medallist, Balkan’s Olympics Gold Medallist, three times Albanian National Champion); Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Head Coach, Max Campos (two times World Cup Medallist, European No Gi Champion, Brazillian National Champion, five times London Open Champion, five times London Open No Gi Champion, six times British Champion). It’s an impressive list!

So what are the benefits of Martial Arts? “Martials is a great way of exercising to keep fit. It also teaches discipline, respect for others and is a great way to build self-confidence.
