The pop-up marquee will feature popular fitness classes, pamper sessions and healthy cooking demos plus more!

Back by popular demand, FitFest Oxford and Westgate are giving Oxfordshire residents a chance to kick-start a healthier, happier year by offering a free fitness and wellness pop-up studio on the weekend of 26th to 27th January.

You will discover an array of free experiences to satisfy your mind, body and soul including fitness classes, pamper sessions, wellness advice and cooking demonstrations.

The pop-up is a fringe event for FitFest Oxford 2019, a major one-day fitness and wellness festival returning to Oxford on June 15th at the Oxford Academy. The main event attracted over 1200 visitors last year and is set to be evenbigger and better this year.

At the Westgate pop-up weekend, there will be the chance to try out a wide variety of fitness classes such as yoga, boxercise and spin as well as brand new fitness trends such as hooptone, twerk, jump fit and jump rope fit.

In addition to the fitness classes, there will be related wellness talks addressing issues such as body confidence and stress relief, as well as hand massages, express facials, neck and shoulder massages, featuring retailers such as Aveda, and Neal’s Yard Remedies.

There will be beauty tips and tricks at the ready, with Fresh handmade cosmetics company Lush Oxford encouraging visitors to get hands on to make their very own fresh cleanser – Angels on Bare Skin. The fun makeup brand Two Faced will be running a guide to healthy glowing skin talk.

Healthy eating is also being showcased with a live cookery demo from the Jericho Kitchen and Cinnamon Kitchen with a wide variety of foods to try and buy.

Lydiah Igweh, one of the founders of FitFest Oxford says: “We have designed the pop-up weekend to offer energising classes, feel-good workshops, lots of mindful experiences and the chance to detox after the Christmas period. We’re committed to keeping people motivated, inspired and informed about all things fitness and wellness so they can reach their full healthy potential.

Brendan Hattam, General Manager at Westgate Oxford, said: “We’re excited to be hosting a FitFest Oxford pop-up at Westgate. There are dozens of free sessions to experience, and we’re expecting them to be very popular – what better way to kick-start the NewYear?”

Everything is free at the event, but you do need to book to attend the sessions. Click here for the full schedule and to book your sessions.
