In 2010, after discovering Zumba at local gym, in one of my many attempts to lose weight and get fit, I finally caught the bug for fitness. I decided to become an instructor and in October 2011 I taught my first class. I was very lucky to form a large and very amazing community of people who continue to enjoy my classes today.
In 2012, I trained as a BOKWA instructor and taught that alongside Zumba for two years. In 2014, I trained in Zumba Kids and Aqua Zumba, I have been teaching Aqua Zumba at the Park Club in Milton for the last five years. I trained in Clubbercise in 2016 and added this to my timetable of classes.
In 2016 I was one of the first in the UK to train as a STRONG by Zumba Instructor. STRONG is a form of HIIT class, that has an intensity level somewhere between Insanity and a Les Mills Body Attack class. The music is great and synced to every move. STRONG is cardio, body strength and toning all in one, it is a fantastic programme, but one that often gets over looked due to the word "Zumba" in the title. People often mistake it for a dance class, I can assure you it is no dance class!
